It was getting to rush hour at this point, I decided to head back out to Shoreditch for something to eat. Still nice and early for the gig.

Gig Day. First I’d planned a tour of London, try grab some landmark snaps. My plan on arrival in the city was to head to the venue so I knew where it was. I was getting frustrated with google maps, it kept saying I’d walked past the venue, turn same, turn same… until I released I was outside. Only because there was a poster for the venue. The evening bouncers came out for a smoke so I double checked and was right. Ok off in to Lon.. oh Coffee shop... mmm nice cake.

A thought came in to my head. I have a Facebook friend, Mary, who is mad on the Beatles. I looked to see where Abbey Road was, short underground trip. Cool, so off to Abbey Road (I took the obligatory photo, but from the opposite side, rebel). Keith that came with me to Glasgow to see Chai, for some reason is a criczzzzzzzzzzzzz sorry, Cricket Fan. So not to miss a joke I headed round to Lords Ground, snapped to Instagram that I’d found the perfect place for an afternoon nap. On
I got the underground up to Westminster, sign said not too far to walk, but other signs said that. I had grown a distrust of London signposts. Walked from Parliament towards Trafalgar, snaps of the main Political Buildings. From there up Pall Mall, more snaps, Buckingham Palace, snap, snap. Then my first rest in the park that I thought was Hyde Park, but wasn’t. There was a sign for Speakers Corner, again London signs.
There was a sign that said Tower bridge straight on. Ok I’ll walk this should be a breeze. Behind me was the Gherkin Building, In front of me The Shard. Two good points to keep direction with. After walking for about an hour the Gherkin was closer and in front of me. That can’t be right. I’d walked in a complete circle, but I was next to the Thames at one point, scratches head. Another hour later
Monday 28th
and I was at Tower Bridge. First snaps. Fortunately, it is right next to the Tower of London so that’s two snaps done, back on a roll.

I don't have the rights to play any Chai on my website so instead why not listen to Drum Machines Can't Dance while you read. If you like please click on Home to check out more of my tunes.
heading back to the Underground I noticed I was on Maida Vale. Chai had recorded for the BBC here somewhere. Couldn’t find it so took a picture of the street sign instead.
