I've said before and will again, the reason HMV went in to decline was because they didn't set themselves up as the on-line go to place, too busy joining in with the record labels to complain about downloading, by the time they decided to have an on-line shop Amazon and I-tunes had cornered the market. The Increasing vinyl revival will save the smaller shops. The internet has created an adapt or die outcome for high street retailers. HMV were too slow to adapt.
It's a minor point.. but I ... not taking away, travel costs, rehersal costs, drink at venue costs, equipment costs and any other band related expenses ... From 25 years making music ... have made around £100 from live ticket sales ... Today's modern popular pop acts, that largely appeal to under 18s with no money, charge at least that for one ticket to see them live ... support your local bands, don't feed the pigeons ....
